Selling yourself and standing out from other pilot applicants can be challenging. Because we have experience with pilot recruitment we can teach you how to “present the best version of yourself” that you are comfortable with but which is also effective from a recruitment perspective. We have helped just graduated student pilots to get into their first jobs and professional pilots with a long work history to get into their dream carrier. We have successfully coached pilots to get into multiple different airlines.

How we do it?

It is important for us to get to know you, including your strengths and weaknesses. We will give you personalised tips on how you can present YOU in the best light. You will not find cookie-cutter solutions and interview answers from here.

It is also important that you are open to feedback. We are very direct but we know what works.

We will provide you with a 15 min FREE assessment call where you can decide if you want to work with us. During this call, we can also agree on an agenda for your upcoming session.

The total duration of the session will typically be about 90 minutes but we make sure we cover the agreed agenda.

If you need more time, you can buy further sessions at a reduced price.

Description

We believe that having a great CV in your back pocket and practising your interview skills are key elements in getting you a job or even your dream job. If you think about an interview as a performance, would you expect to give the performance of your lifetime without any practice? Pilots practise multiple hours to fly a plane but do not practise the most important part to get the actual job; interviews.

A 90-minute session with a person with recruitment experience in the industry. Details of the session will be agreed on beforehand so there’s no wasted time and we can focus on you.

To be able to help you the best we can, we will ask you to forward your CV and a few of your most recent applications.

  • We will give you feedback on your CV
  • We will give you feedback on your applications
  • We will give you tips on how to make both your CV and applications better
  • We will give you interview training
  • We will give you tips for effective job hunting

What was the best about the coaching?
The best thing was that I had a lot of information which I could not have found myself.
I feel I have read everything I could find on the internet, but the coaching gave me answers to questions I never knew I had. Even though only a 1.5 h coaching session was planned we ended up talking for 2.5 h and we did not finish until all my questions was answered.

  3. Lars

After 35 years in the same industry, I was in a black hole. The light at the end of the tunnel had gone out, and the frustration of having lost my foundation filled everything. This is where I was recommended to seek out Ask A Pilot, even though I am not a pilot myself. The team at Ask A Pilot helped me with the most boundary-breaking and liberating choice: To burn the bridges behind me and dare to look towards a completely new horizon. My coach from Ask A Pilot challenged not only my strategy, but also my attitude. When my coach conducted a ‘mock’ job interview with me, my first performance was anything but convincing – but it was exactly the mirror I needed. The team at Ask A Pilot taught me to turn the spotlight on my own strengths. My coach gave me the tools that allowed me to go from passive discouragement to proactive preparation. When the real interview came a few days later, I showed up not as a ‘frustrated man’, but as a man with a plan. The result? I landed the job. My coach from Ask A Pilot was not just an advisor; he is a catalyst for change. If you feel stuck, the team at Ask A Pilot can help you find the spark to burn the old bridges and build the new ones. Warmest recommendations from here

As a fellow pilot who has just become a commercial pilot, I can confidently say that Ask A Pilot’s service is what you’re looking for. Before I met the team at Ask A Pilot, I wasn’t sure where to start with my preparation. Within the first few minutes of our session, all my confusion disappeared.

The team at Ask A Pilot are incredibly knowledgeable, engaged, and genuinely passionate about helping others. They provided exactly the guidance and support you need, and when they say they do this out of passion, they truly mean it. The amount of follow-up, emails, and continued support has been outstanding.

I absolutely recommend Ask A Pilot and will definitely book another session just before my interview to polish my skills.

  5. Newly graduated pilot from EU

I used Ask A Pilot for preparation for a really important job interview with a career airline. It was a cadet opportunity, and I was new to the industry. I thought it was super to work with Ask A Pilot. The consultant I received coaching from had a lot of good tips and tricks. He was very good at pointing out things about my non-verbal and verbal communication that could be improved. At the time of the interview, I felt I could perform well, as I had a lot of self-confidence and knowledge about what to expect. I am not sure I would have got the job if I had not done the coaching, though I felt it was money (4 hrs in total) very well spent, and I would recommend Ask A Pilot for interview training. I took contact to Ask A Pilot about 2 weeks before the interview, and they were very good at offering me some choice for when I wanted the two 2 hours sessions. After the interview Ask A Pilot was chasing up how I had found the real interview, and if there was anything they could have done better to prepare me. This makes me think they actually care and strive to be good at what they are doing. I think most people are very likely to buy simulator training, but in my view you should equally spend money on interview training, as interviews are an important part of the process. All in all – excellent – would fully recommend.
